Used For CO2 Laser Cutting Machine
The Molybdenum reflector is different from glass reflector in the production process. It is coated with a high-reflecting film and protective film after fine polishing. Prior to installation and use, it shall be soaked in the ethyl alcohol for several minutes to tear the protective film on the surface. It can provide high reflecting efficiency, small thermal deformation coefficient, resistance to wiping, long service life and small power loss.

In its pure form, molybdenum is a silvery-grey metal with a Mohs hardness of 5.5. It has a melting point of 2,623 degree centigrade (4,753 degree Fahrenheit) of the naturally occurring elements, only tantalum, osmium, rhenium, tungsten, and carbon have higher melting points. Weak oxidation of molybdenum starts at 300 degree centigrade (572 degree Fahrenheit). It has one of the lowest coefficients of thermal expansion among commercially used metals. The tensile strength of molybdenum wires increases about 3 times, from about 10 to 30 GPa, when their diameter decreases from ~ 50–100 nm to 10 nm.
Suggestion:
This K9 (glass) material is suitable for the laser machine with below 60 W power.
The laser machine with above 60 W power, the Mo mirror , Si mirror or brass mirror is the better choice.
