Heating element's dismantlement

A.From the high cost of a brand new fuser assembly,then repair fuser assembly is very essential during printer

maintenance,and replace the heating element & fuser film sleeve is the common and saving cost solution.

B.Required tools:

1) Phillips-head screwdriver

2) Common screwdriver  

3) Hot gun 

4) Knife 

5) Fuser assembly

C.Steps of dismantlement:

1)The First step take off the screws,metal cover,springs ,fuser film sleeve and the related parts.

2) Then it comes to our key point step:

 a. Set up the temperature of hot gun at 260-280,and then heat on the heating element back and forth for 

melting the adhesive.

b. Meanwhile,put the knife into one side of heating element carefully,and then unclench it. For this step the knife 

should be parallel with heating element,otherwise the heating element will be damaged or broken.

c. After that,keep the hot gun around 40mm's forward to knife.

d. By 10 seconds' heating,then move forward the hot gun and knife slowly at the same time. when moving the 

knife,which should be keep 5° away from the heat roller and cling to the inside of heating element,by this can 

avoid the necessary damage to the temperature sensor and thermoswitch. In the event it's been stopped,you need 

adjust the angle of knife or back and then forward it again.

e.Till now we already finished the process of heating element's dismantlement,and the next we should do is to 

clean hot roller baseplate, remove the previous/old adhesive completely. For here there is one thing we need pay

attention to, that please check out the baseplate whether there is burned,distorted or damaged on the , if so please

change it immediately.
