Working principle:

The object of the ferromagnetic material to be tested is placed in a strong magnetic field or magnetized by a strong current. If there are cracks (cracks, folds, inclusions, etc.) on the surface or near the surface of the object, magnetic lines of force may cause magnetic flux leakage near the defect. When a magnetically permeable magnetic powder (usually magnetic iron oxide powder) is applied to an object, the leakage magnetic field near the defect attracts the magnetic powder, and the visible magnetic powder traces are formed to form visible magnetic traces under appropriate illumination. Shows the location, size, shape and severity of continuity without showing the defects
